“It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband,” she posted alongside a video of her in the outfit, wishing her husband a “Happy birthday my love!”

“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this,” she said in the video, before explaining that “It’s for my husband’s birthday.”

Dolly went on to say that she once claimed she would pose for the magazine when she was 75: “Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore.”

Alongside an image of her showing Carl the outfit as well as a plaque honoring the cover, Dolly explained that he’d always loved the image: “He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not going to try to talk him out of that. I was kind of a little butterball in that one. Well, I’m string cheese now, but he’ll probably think I’m cream cheese, I hope.”

“You think Playboy ought to pay me for at least the photoshoot?,” she joked at one point. “I do.”

Honestly? Dolly deserves everything.

bitchy | Elon Musk isn’t financially supporting Grimes, she’s with him for his personality?!

Grimes and Elon Musk got together in early 2018. They made their couple-debut at the 2018 Met Gala, and months after that, Azealia Banks shared a story about hanging out in Elon’s house while he was on an acid-trip and Grimes was tittering away, and it’s a story that lives rent-free in my head to this day. I think that was when some of us began thinking of the Grimes-Elon relationship a certain way. That Elon is a weird friend-to-incels type of guy and Grimes is not that bright. In any case, Elon and Grimes had a baby, gave that baby a stupid name, and now Grimes is pretty much raising the baby on her own as Elon tweets about dogecoin and securities fraud. Did you know that Elon still isn’t financing Grimes or her career at all? The man is a billionaire! Grimes had to sign with a proper music label just to make a little money to support herself and baby X Æ A-12.

After three years and a baby, he’s still not supporting her financially at all? He’s not helping her with her career? Grimes is literally dating and having babies with one of the worst men on earth… because she likes his personality? Because she thinks Elon Musk is a cool guy? Oh, honey. Please have some self-respect.

Mindy Kaling Responds to Backlash About Her Role as ‘Scooby Doo’ Character Velma

Mindy Kaling is speaking out.

It was announced earlier this year that the 42-year-old actress would voice Scooby-Doo character Velma Dinkley in the upcoming HBO Max animated series.

In an appearance on Late Night on Thursday (June 22), Mindy revealed to host Seth Meyers that not everyone was thrilled with her being cast.

Mindy explained that while there was lots of support about her voicing the character, some people took issue with Velma being played by an Indian actress.

“People were not happy. There were a lot of ‘so not Velma’ tweets. First of all, I didn’t know that she elicited such strong reactions, in either direction,” she said.

“She’s such a great character, she’s so smart. And I just couldn’t understand how people couldn’t imagine a really smart, nerdy girl with terrible eyesight and loved to solve mysteries could not be Indian,” she continued. “Like, there are Indian nerds. It shouldn’t be a surprise to people.”

Mindy added, “It really made me think, ‘Okay, we’ve got to be really careful with this character, which we will be because we really love her and she’s going to have great adventures.’”

TikTokers Say This Drugstore Toothpaste Delivers Professional Whitening

Teeth whitening has always been a trend, with people spending big bucks at the dentist or looking for over-the-counter options. But it feels like lately, folks want ultra-white teeth faster and cheaper than ever. Arm & Hammer Advance White Toothpaste is going viral on TikTok for just that. The “Extreme Whitening” toothpaste costs less than $4 and apparently, works so well folks are choosing it over pricier professional options.

Model Dana Patterson (she goes by @danaisabellaaaa on TikTok) made a video last week about her “beauty secret” teeth whitening product. “Stop wasting your money on those super expensive teeth whitening kits that influencers are trying to show you on Instagram,” she says. “All teeth whitening products have the same active ingredient and I’m about to put you onto the best routine available at the drugstore.”

That’s when she holds up a tube of Arm & Hammer Advance White Extreme Whitening Baking Soda & Peroxide Toothpaste. “Not only does it leave your mouth super clean and your teeth feeling super clean, but this will make your teeth so white people will think you have veneers or Chiclets.”

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to the people, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.

The formula is boosted by peroxide to gently target stains from coffee, wine, etc. It’s generally well-tolerated, but if you have ultra-sensitive teeth, you might want to check with your dentist first. If you need a little more whitening power (maybe you’re a serious coffee drinker), Patterson also loves using ARC After-Brushing Teeth Whitening Booster ($9.49 at Target).

After brushing with toothpaste, you brush with the teeth whitening gel for just one minute. It contains a blend of hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide. The brand promises it helps keep stains from forming, too.

Together, both products cost less than $15 at Target. Folks are stitching Patterson’s video swearing these products—even just the toothpaste alone—actually work. It looks like I desperately need a Target run—STAT.
